4 ways a postpartum doula empowers new & expecting parents

Wondering what a postpartum doula does? Or how one can empower you as a new parent? Here are four ways a postpartum doula will make you feel like a rockstar.

Education

I educate clients about what to expect during birth and postpartum. I'm also here to guide them as they make their homes safer and healthier by using non-toxic products.

Validation

Having a baby can be, at best, really hard and, at worst, traumatic. As a doula, I'm there to listen, empathize, and validate all of the feelings (good and bad) that parents might feel during this crazy journey.

Preparation

I'm a type-A, organized Sagittarius. (That means I love plans and lists.) Together, we create plans and set up systems for things like birth, feeding, sleeping, medical and emotional support, and more.

Connection

It takes a village! I empower clients by connecting them with people and services they never even knew they needed. This ranges from lactation consultants to pelvic floor physical therapists to new parent groups to therapists specializing in birth and postpartum.

Want to feel empowered as a new parent? Book a prenatal meeting or VIP day with me! You can also learn more by following me on Instagram, Facebook, or Pinterest.

Hi! I'm Gigi; I'm a postpartum doula, mother to three toddlers, including twins, and a wife to my high school sweetheart. I’m a #swiftie who loves cheesy novels.

As a former teacher, I bring realistic, evidence-based, and actionable advice (and LOTS of handouts.) I help families get the tools they need to prepare, so once baby arrives, they can focus on resting and bonding instead of researching or stressing. I’m here to streamline the newborn learning curve and help birth parents, partners, and other family members. There isn’t ONE way to have and raise a little human. I’m here to guide parents to find THEIR way so that they can thrive in the fourth trimester and beyond.
